  • What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a gentle and natural healing system that works with the body to relieve symptoms, restore vitality, and improve overall health. It has been practiced worldwide for over 200 years. Homeopathy works by stimulating the body’s own natural ability to heal itself. Treatment is individualized to you considering the patient as a whole using physical, mental, and emotional symptoms to enable the homeopath to select a remedy that best suits each individual and their illness. I practice "Classical" Homeopathy that is based on the following principles: The Law of Similars: This “like cures like” Law in nature states that a substance that can cause a “sickness” in a healthy person can help restore health to a person suffering with a similar “sickness”. Minimum Dose: In homeopathy, a person takes just enough of a homeopathic remedy to stimulate their body’s own healing response. Totality of Symptoms: Homeopathy recognizes that each person exhibits “sickness” in a unique and slightly different way. A homeopathic practitioner chooses a remedy that matches the unique symptom profile of the individual. Single Remedy: Only one remedy is given at a time. Homeopathic remedies are safe, gentle, and effective energetic properties of diluted substances that are found in nature such as plants, minerals, and animals. Homeopathic remedies are also FDA-regulated, non-drowsy, non-habit-forming, and non-toxic.
  • What happens on an Initial Consultation?
A homeopathic consultation is like no other health consultation. The consultation usually takes between 1-2 hours via Zoom. as we learn about your whole being--including parts of you that feel well and the parts of you that don't. We consider mental, emotional, and physical symptoms and look for a pattern of your symptoms that can also match that to a source in nature with a similar pattern. Homeopathy is individualized and so it recognizes that each person exhibits “sickness” in a unique and slightly different way. That is why two people with the same illness will not necessarily receive the same homeopathic remedy. A homeopathic practitioner chooses a remedy that matches the unique symptom profile of the individual. For example, a person with upset stomach who is chilly and not thirsty would receive a different remedy than someone with upset stomach who is hot, sweaty, and craves water. This practice is known as Totality of Symptoms, an important homeopathy guiding principle. Conventional medicine prescribes treatments based on a diagnosis. Once you schedule your first consultation, I'll send you a few forms to complete prior to the consultation which includes a range of questions from current symptoms to medical history, food cravings, dreams, sleep habits, and hobbies. This will provide me with useful information that may not be spoken about during the first consultant but can be very important for the overall remedy selection.
  • What happens on a Follow Up call?
After you have taken your remedy, we will wait approximately 3-4 weeks to allow the remedy to act. I generally like to check in 10 days after you've started the remedy. It's important to track or keep a journal of any significant changes over the course of being on the remedy. When we meet for your follow up, we will then evaluate what changes have taken place on the various mental, emotional or physical levels. Sometimes we will continue to wait and let the remedy continue to do it's job, sometimes we may need to repeat the remedy again, and sometimes if we don't see any considerable changes, we will review and explore further and possibly select a new remedy. It is important that you reach out if there are any questions or concerns throughout this whole healing process. Follow ups are generally 45-60 mins.

  • What are Bach Flower remedies?
Bach Flower Essences (also known as Flower Remedies) were discovered in the 1930s by a British physician and microbiologist Dr. Edward Bach (1886–1936). Dr. Bach became convinced that most human illnesses are caused by negative states of mind (e.g., fear, jealousy, despair). Dr. Edward Bach believed that illness is the effect of disharmony between body and mind. Symptoms of an illness are the external expression of negative emotional states (e.g. fear, jealousy, despair, etc.). Dr. Bach isolated and classified 38 flowers from which he extracted 38 essences with which he succeeded in healing patients' ailments while taking into account their individual emotional states. Dr. Bach found that certain flower essences led to self-healing, as they purified the patient of negative elements that adversely affected their health. Bach Flower remedies are completely safe for use by anyone, including children. They are natural, non-toxic, and non-habit-forming. Moreover, treatment with Bach Flowers can be combined with other homeopathic or conventional treatments. While it is unusual for Bach Flowers to be used for physical symptoms, it is possible that through their use, the body will heal itself of symptoms as the patient reaches a balanced mental state. Bach Flower essences aid in changing negative emotions and eliminating defective traits or attitudes in such a way as to lead to the patient's peace of mind and contentment. Use of the essences aids in coping with stress, anxiety, depression, anger, fear, guilt, worry, and many other disturbing feelings. The essences can help us to improve our emotional and mental state, thus balancing the body and the mind.
